My friend Bill Joel, who is the Steering Committee Co-Chair of the Massive Collaborative Animation Projects, needs animators:
"The Massive Collaborative Animation Projects (http://mcaprojects.net) is looking for student animators to create the shots for our first projects, MCAP01. Visit our website, and have your students do so as well. Then, if you or they are interested, visit our sign-up page and … well … Sign-up."
You can contact me for more info, and to figure out if and how we might be incorporate this into your studies. The hope is to have this project completed sometime next Spring.
Update: from Miho Aoki, University of Fairbanks, Alaska:
"We got the main character of the story rigged and the environment model of a scene done. They are ready to go.
We are animating in Maya and rendering with Arnold.
We are looking for student members want to do layout and animation of the shots in the scene as part of class works or work independently"
